Overview

Ontra starts the marketing process with an eye to both the asset specific and portfolio details as well as to the unique marketplace dynamics impacting that asset or portfolio.

We start by assessing the qualities and status of each asset, defining the best disposition strategy to accomplish the objectives of the asset's resolution plan. We call on our well established nationwide network of local experts to layer in marketplace considerations before establishing our anticipated market recovery values.

We then develop a marketing plan and accompanying budget along with a market sensitivity analysis which become the basis of a comprehensive recovery plan to be recommended to the client.

Our extensive 20 year experience in conducting portfolio sales for the federal government and Wall Street entities has resulted in a detailed, highly controlled bid and transaction monitoring process to provide all the pertinent details necessary to gain final transaction approval from the client.

And finally, we close the transaction and provide post transaction documentation to ensure that the deliverables are consistent with the stated objectives and according to all applicable laws and regulations and industry conventions.

Guaranty Federal Savings Bank
Ontra assisted this Southwest Plan institution in the liquidation of all of its illiquid "bad bank" assets totaling $750MM in both commercial and residential assets throughout the southwest US. Ontra staff coordinated the marketing and closed the transactions on the entire portfolio over a2 ½ year period, maximizing the return to the institution.

Citicorp Securities
Ontra coordinated the marketing and liquidation of over 16,000 residential 1-4 assets in 15 states over a 28 month period.  Transactions involved both individual and bulk sales initiatives. Management noted that during the peak individual sales activity period the closing staff completed 2 closings per hour for a 12 month consolidated period.  The final bulk sale of a combination of non-performing (some 12 years delinquent), sub-performing and re-performing assets resulted in a final price at 71% of UPB.
